  Never going back. I should have listened to my dad, and my grandpa, when they warned me away years ago. I needed to renew my stickers on two vehicles. I went to Milan License and Title, because I heard that they had cleaned up their act. They charged me $15 more than my bill stated. I asked why I was being charged more, and they told me that the state was charging a higher fee for renewal. The employee went as far as to say that the state should really include that fee in their bill, because people came down all the time and were upset that they had to pay more. I even asked if it was a fee that was being charged at each DMV, and she said that yes, it was a statewide thing. I accepted her answer as truth (because why would someone lie about something like that?), and paid the required amount. I left, didn't feel right about the fee, and checked on the Illinois website. Sure enough, the fee had not gone up. I called the Milan License and Title to tell them what I found out, and was then told that the extra fee was a handling fee, because the state charged them $7.50 per transaction, and they passed that charge on to their customers. I told them I was unhappy that I had been misled, and that I would like to get my check back, so I could take my business to Silvis instead, since they had never misled me, and didn't have any hidden fees. I was then told that the paper had already been printed, and they couldn't do refunds. I am not angry about the extra fee. I am angry about being lied to. I am not the first one who has been told similar "facts" from that facility, and I am not going to be the last one to take my business elsewhere in the future.

YOU LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER MILAN TITLE MY ONLY REGRET WAS NOT READING THE REVIEWS BEFORE I WENT THERE, OTHERWISE I SURELY WOULD OF WENT TO SILVIS.. TAKE MY ADVICE PEOPLE, GO TO SILVIS...

  rushed there to get title and license before they closed at noon, walked in their door at 11:45, lady was helping a customer and immediately said "WE'RE CLOSED!" I said I thought you were open until noon (like it shows on the door),, she said well we are, but we're getting set to close... I said sarcastically, well I guess I can come back some other day,, she said, yeah, why don't you do that.. Unbelievable! This place charges customers an extra $20 on top of the state fees for their "handling fee" so the place is supposed to be about convenience. I had just been in their a week prior to title and register a watercraft and now I'm nervous about the paperwork even being handled correctly as a google search on this place will show some concerning results
